Savannah Stocker ’19 is one 12 students named as 2023 Syracuse University Scholars, the highest undergraduate honor the University bestows.
Amy Mahon ’03 has taken a new position as Business Development Director with Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. After working professionally in theatre and public television for several years, she will help build and nurture the Riverwalk District and the vibrant community connected by the New River.
United States Navy Captain J. Patrick Thompson ’93 assumed command of the USS John C. Stennis on May 18, 2023.

Sumeet Gulati ’19 spoke to Middle School World Civilizations students on the Boca Raton Campus recently. He spoke to students about the Punjabi culture, Sikhism, and Indian Dance—he even had the students dancing! Sumeet is a Business Management student with a minor in Real Estate/Property Management at NSU's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. In his free time, he coaches Bhangra teams for various events and competitions, sharing his passion for Punjabi culture and heritage as the Head Coach for NSU Bhangra, a competitive collegiate team.
