After 30 years in the pastorate, Reverend Jeremy Stopford ’71 retired on January 1, 2019. He and his wife have moved to Norwich, NY to be near her family.
Rebecca (Begelman) Strub ’90 has had her own solo estate planning law firm for almost nine years in Highland Park, New Jersey. She loves helping clients create the documents they need to plan their legacies. "I especially love helping families with minor children because I make sure there are plans and documents in place so that the children are always taken care of by people the parents choose both in the short-term and long-term."
April Cole ’98 moved from Silicon Valley to Houston, Texas to accept a position at Rice University as Director of Alumni Programs
George Schmidt ’68 continues to practice optometry part-time and swims competitively with the Palm Beach Masters team. "One of my proudest achievements was being the first 60 year old to break 60 seconds in the 100 yard individual medley eight years ago."
Garret Rukes ’16 had a strong showing during the baseball pre-season with the University of Alabama. He was sidelined last year due to an injury and surgery on his elbow.
Annabella Lyn ’18 was named athlete of the week for February 11-15, 2019 by Swarthmore College.
Michael Schiff ’08 is the current President of the Student Bar Association of Nova Law School. He will graduate in May 2019 with his Juris Doctorate.
Lilliana de Souza ’17 won first place at Northwestern University's Improve NU challenge. Her idea, NPowerU, is a multifaceted initiative geared toward campus safety that prioritizes giving personal security alarms to students at events, as well as an advertising campaign to promote lesser-known campus programs that encourage safety.
Amanda Merkur Pollok ’96 left her law career to start a company that matches cancer patients to premiere doctors in the country (or world) for their diagnoses. "We have formed networks in order to expedite appointments at top hospitals, match people with clinical trials, secure mutation testing and targeted therapies, and much more."
Renee Hinson ’81 has been named CEO of Encompass Health's new rehab hospital in Boise, ID. The facility is set to open this summer, July 9, 2019.
George E. Dalzell ’79 hosted a literary gathering at Barry University about his book "Messages: Evidence of Life After Death."
Renee Linnell ’91 published her memoir “The Burn Zone,” the story of how she rebuilt her life after being brainwashed and drawn into a cult.
Danny Glass ’09 will be showing new works at Le Festival De Bargemon Show - a group show at Beddington Fine Art Gallery in Bargemon France through April 12, and at The Intersection of Art and Music - a group show at Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, IL. The show will be open from April 4 to May 4, 2019.

Judge Robin Rosenbaum ’84 of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and Scott Singer ’94, Mayor of Boca Raton, joined Judge Dorian Damoorgian, Ted Deutch, US Congressman, and former Florida Senator George LeMieux on a panel hosted by the ACLU Upper School club.
