At the end of October, Pine Crest School hosted our first Panther Giving Week. The week was an opportunity for our community to support our School and have their new and increased gifts matched.
More than 30 alumni volunteered throughout the week to reconnect with classmates and encourage the tradition of giving. So far this academic year, more than 400 alumni have provided financial support to The Pine Crest Fund totaling more than $450,000! This includes 71 Legacy families whose children or grandchildren are current Pine Crest students, as well as 159 alumni in the Panther Loyalty Society who have given three or more consecutive years.
The Pine Crest Fund is our school’s annual fund and has become more essential than ever. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fund has given us the flexible dollars needed to outfit our campuses for the safe return of our faculty and students and facilitated the virtual classroom experience for students at home. Not only that, it has allowed us to help families who were affected financially by the pandemic ensuring that students could remain with their peers at school, in person or virtually.
Pine Crest provided alumni with opportunities to learn and grow, find their place in the world, and create friendships that have stood the test of time. We are so grateful and proud that alumni from every generation stepped up to the plate to offer their support as Pine Crest continues to make extraordinary efforts in 2020 to confront new challenges. Panthers recognized and made possible their alma mater’s remarkable ability to adapt and innovate.
