Rhea Jain ’20 has made a name for herself in Boca Raton as an entrepreneur and founder of Renoosh, a high-end clothing line for petite women. Rhea launched her business when she was a freshman in Upper School.

We first spoke with Rhea after she was selected to represent Boca Raton in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) “shark tank” competition. She was getting ready to compete against local winners from across the country at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she placed sixth in the nation.

At the time, Rhea explained that her struggle to find clothes that fit inspired her to launch Renoosh.

“I am only 5’1”!” said Rhea, who began promoting the company using her wide-reaching social media network. “I have a large social media following, and people would reach out to me asking where I found my clothes. So, I decided to create my own. I created nine pieces that are interchangeable — you can make more than 25 looks with the pieces.”

Since then, Rhea was again recognized by the Chamber receiving the Pearl Award. The Award is given to a young female who is a graduate of the Boca Chamber's entrepreneurship academy and celebrates an individual that the Chamber believes stands out as a “pearl of potential” in the next generation of business leaders.

Throughout her time in Upper School, Rhea worked and interned with various clothing and fashion companies to learn the business processes for designing, manufacturing, and managing Renoosh.

While she has found success designing clothes, what she really loves about Renoosh is the business side of things.

An incoming computer science and finance major, Rhea looks forward to beginning her first year at the University of Southern California.

“I have been working for my dad’s company as a data analyst” said Rhea. “I would like to do that for the retail sector, using data analysis to help retail businesses.”

As for what is next for Renoosh, Rhea is looking to move production from Miami to Prato, Italy as it grows.

“My plan is to keep growing Renoosh,” said Rhea. “I am going to keep running it and see how it goes. For me, the business side is more fun; the fashion side is just a hobby of mine.”
